A Quality Glass GRP composite door saves your pocket and preserves the environment.
Energy efficiency is important to all of us. We all want to be more energy efficient, to reduce our fuel bills and protect the future of our planet. A Quality Glass composite door is the perfect way to improve the energy efficiency of your home.
Quality Glass GRP composite doors are more energy efficient – fact!
We have tested our 44.5mm Premium composite door in comparison with a 48mm solid timber core composite door and a 44mm timber panelled door.
The Quality Glass composite door was proved to be:
• 19% more thermally efficient than the 48mm solid timber core composite door
• 17% more thermally efficient than the 44mm traditional timber panelled door
The photos show the thermal efficiency of each of the doors. Dark blues indicate lower heat loss, while reds and greens indicate higher heat loss. The lower the score the more thermally efficient the door is.
Why are Quality Glass GRP composite doors so thermally efficient?
A Quality Glass composite door helps you keep warmth in and cold and noise out due to its high performance insulating core.
The insulated core is made up of a high density CFC-free PV foam which is environmentally friendly with a Global Warming Potential of less than five and an Ozone Depletion Score of zero. The product installed far exceeds the requirements of Approved Document L of the Building Regulations.
